I am a certified clinical hypnotherapist specialized in medical and spiritual hypnosis. I am a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT), the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA), and the International Hypnosis Federation (IHF). 

 

My mission is to help individuals overcome any issue they are facing. I believe that everyone is unique and deserving of specific attention and care. When we first meet, I will take the time to review your issues, symptoms, feelings, inspirations, and goals, to define the best approach to help you achieve optimal wellness. I have the knowledge and skills to provide you with the care and compassion you need to optimize your well-being. My priority is to provide you with a safe and trusting environment where we can work together to create a plan of action for your unique needs.

Habits and Behaviors

 

Hypnotherapy is an effective way to eliminate undesired habits and behaviors because it deals with the part of the mind that keeps those habits in place. You can take control of your habits and live a more fulfilling life. I will help you break free from the unconscious patterns that are holding you back and replace them with positive, empowering habits and behaviors.

I guide my clients in a heartful and mindful program where I facilitate a journey to eliminate unhealthy habits and behaviors and naturally and effortlessly introduce desired healthy practices. The hypnotic state makes the person better able to respond positively to suggestions and accept changes until now considered difficult or even impossible.

Some of the habits and behaviors that can be improved with hypnosis include bruxism, TMJ, nail-biting, hair-pulling, smoking, binging, drinking, addictions, stress, anxiety, procrastination, insomnia, bulimina, OCD, among others.

Fears and Phobias

Most people experience some kind of fear of particular things; sometimes it might be a reasonable response to certain situations. Phobias, on the other hand, are extreme fear responses that are out of all proportion to the trigger. Phobias are defined as extreme, overwhelming, debilitating, and irrational reactions to specific triggers. A phobia is an irrational fear, a fear without good reason. People with phobias experience unwanted responses to animals, insects, objects, actions, or places. 

 

Some examples of common fears and phobias are confined spaces, dentists, dogs, flying, heights, needles, snakes, spiders and other insects, and water.

Traumas, Grief and Loss

Clinical hypnotherapy can be a useful and effective intervention in prolonged grief reactions. It can be used to address issues of unresolved grief in those individuals who develop any disorder in response to prolonged grief reactions or in those who show complete avoidance of talking about the deceased. Hypnotherapy has been useful and effective in addressing grief reactions as well as associated manifestations, such as sleep problems, depressive features, or post-traumatic stress disorder. It might be a good choice of treatment while dealing with someone having underlying issues or maladaptive coping mechanisms.

What happens in a Hypnosis session?

 

Hypnosis is a changed state of awareness and increased relaxation that allows for improved focus and concentration. During hypnosis, most people feel very calm and relaxed. While in this deep state of relaxation and focused concentration, you will experience a process that many people think is similar to a guided meditation or guided visualization, with the specificity of being intentionally permeated with imagery, cues, and suggestions targeting your desired goal.

Myths about Hypnosis

Myth: You’re under the control of your hypnotherapist when you’re hypnotized.

The hypnotherapist is just guiding you in the process; you do all the work. In fact, you are hypnotizing yourself. It is a voluntary act aiming to alter beliefs you know are not benefiting you. You can’t be made to do anything against your will. You won’t reveal any information that you wish to remain secret. You don’t lose control over your behavior. You can leave the hypnotic state anytime you want. You are always in control.

Myth: Only weak-willed people can be hypnotized, I cannot be hypnotized

​Everyone with minimum cognitive skills can be hypnotized. This is a process that works and activates your imagination and creativity with a specific goal. Actually, smart people can have amazing hypnotic results due to their very active and vivid minds. 

Myth: Hypnosis is related to the occult, to mystical powers

Hypnosis has nothing to do with any spiritual practice, cult, religion, or faith. It is a practice involving your unconscious mind. More and more we find pieces of evidence and research from respectable and renowned medical institutions validating the efficacy of hypnosis.
